Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Latex, OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • All figures, tables and footnotes are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

SYSTEM CHANGE is produced in the widely-used typesetting system Latex, using its accompanying bibliographic systems. We therefore request that if possible, submissions are made as Latex (.tex) files. If this is not possible, any common word processing format is acceptable.

If you woud like to make a submission using Latex, you can download our article template HERE, and use it to write your article.

Importantly, we require that references are provided to us as a bibliographic database. We suggest using EndNote or EndNote Web, from which you can export a list of references in Bibtex format (.bib), which can then be used to compile your reference list.

We request that wherever possible, URLs are provided for your references, and we require that they are for all papers, reports and websites. Page numbers will generally not be included, unless they refer to a specific section of text, and will not be included for papers.

We are happy to help you with any aspect of the above. If you have any questions, please contact us.
